"Then from the same pattern,
God crafted another person -
A Perfect Match."
"And He thought,
someday they will find each other."
"And everyone will know
they belong together."

How We Met:
We met through a mutual friend, Roslyn (Roz) Weidauer. Roz and Jenn just moved into an apartment (aka "The Palace") together with Jen Hashagen. The "Queens" invited Mitch and some other friends over for a house warming party. Mitch and Jenn were teamed up together playing the game Taboo. Mitch and Jenn won the game and hit it off. The rest is history...until...the proposal.

How He Proposed:
I was able to get Jenn's ring size from a few subtle hints she was leaving during the Summer of 2001. In August, I went to a jeweler to have them make Jenn's engagement ring. The ring was completed on August 27th, and I was very excited to pick it up. I was going to hold on to the ring for a few days, but once I saw it I knew I wouldn't be able to keep the secret any longer. I put the ring in my pocket and made a trip to the florist to pick up a dozen red roses. Then I waited for Jenn to come home. When she finally arrived I was in my normal after work position of sitting on the couch, playing Playstation. She and I made plans to go the gym that night. I asked her if she could go get my workout shoes that were in the closet in the other room (as I was too busy playing my video game :) A little annoyed, she went looking for my shoes. Of course, she went looking for the shoes in the wrong closet. I then told her that I thought they were in the other closet. At that point, I sneaked down the hall as she approached the other closet. She opened the other closet and stopped as she saw the dozen red roses on the floor. When she turned around to ask me what they were for, I was on my knees with the ring in hand. At that point I told her that she was the woman of my dreams and she makes me feel complete. I asked her if she would marry me.
Jenn's response, "Are you sure? Is this for real?"
Yes, I was for sure, and the ring was real.
Jenn's second response, "Yes!!"
